Welcome to MedAesthetics

At MedAesthetics, we offer the entire spectrum of cosmetic and anti-ageing treatments including cosmetic injectables, dermatological lasers and fat reduction treatments.

As a relatively simple procedure, earlobe repair is one of the most routinely performed procedures at Medaesthetics. The primary purpose of this procedure is to fix a patient’s stretched or torn earlobes and deliver natural looking results.

Patients opting for this procedure are grouped into two main categories:

  • Younger patients who have either deliberately stretched their earlobes or have accidentally torn one or both earlobes.
  • Older patients with floppy earlobes due to age-related reasons.

Earlobe repair is one of the most routinely performed procedures at Medisculpt™

General Information

What Is Earlobe Repair Surgery?

Earlobe repair is a comparatively minor surgical procedure. The local anaesthetic is injected with a very fine needle; once the area is numb, the process involves the removal of stretched or torn skin edges using radio-wave surgery or CO2 laser. Thereon, the skin is sutured together using delicate sutures and tissue glue. The emphasis of this procedure is on restoring the natural-looking shape of the earlobes.

The Pain Factor

Our highly experienced clinical team do their utmost to minimise any treatment associated pain or discomfort. Having fine motor skills and gentle pair of hands are important assets for any clinician.

Depending upon the type of of procedure being performed, we use high-strength topical numbing cream, inhalation (laughing) gas, local anaesthesia as well as skin cooling device to make the procedure as tolerable as possible.

As per new AHPRA & Australian Medical Board guidelines, all cosmetic surgery patients will require a referral from a GP to be able to have a cosmetic surgery consultation.

All cosmetic patients will require a psychological assessment to rule out body dysmorphia before undergoing any cosmetic surgery.
