Welcome to MedAesthetics

Perth’s Award-winning Boutique Cosmetic Clinics.
At MedAesthetics, we offer the entire spectrum of cosmetic medical and surgical treatments including cosmetic facial makeovers, dermatological lasers and fat reduction treatments.

Mini Face Lift is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures Dr Jadoon offers in Perth.

The natural ageing process, sun damage, stress, gravity, or sudden weight loss are the main factors contributing to facial tissue sagging.

Areas of the lower face and neck, particularly around the jawline lose their youthful contours and start to sag during the 4th and 5th decades of life.

Mini Face Lift (Minimally Invasive Rhytidectomy) is a cosmetic procedure designed to lift sagging facial tissue and restore youthful contours to give you the look that is more consistent with how you feel.

Note: S-Lift & MACS Lift are both Mini Face Lift techniques.

We have performed countless Mini Face Lift procedures in Perth since 2014. Our aim is to always deliver natural-looking results as cost-effectively as possible.

General Information

Difference Between Mini Face Lift And Full Face Lift

Mini Face Lift involves less extensive surgical manipulation of the facial tissue compared to the traditional Full Face Lift.

In Mini Face Lift, the surgical incision line remains in front of the ear. It does not extend behind the ear. During the procedure, branches of the Facial Artery and the Facial Nerve are not exposed. Hence there is less tissue trauma, less risk of injury to the facial neuro-vascular structures, and quicker recovery.

S-Lift and MACS-Lift surgeries are slight variations of the Mini-facelift procedure. Many cosmetic surgeons consider S-Lift and MAC-Lift just alternate names for Mini Facelift.

Full Cosmetic Makeover

Mini Face Lift is often combined with other procedures such as:

Mini Neck Lift
Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Lift)
Facial Fat Grafting
Fraxel Laser Skin Rejuvenation, to deliver a comprehensive Cosmetic makeover.

Dr. Jadoon will be able to create a tailored-made treatment plan to suit your budget and clinical requirement at the time of your initial consultation.

Scar Management After Mini Face Lift

The incisional scars after Mini Face Lift are barely noticeable and begin to fade quickly within a few weeks. In females, the stitches and incisional scars can easily be covered by hair during the initial healing phase.

At MedAesthetics, we have the most extensive range of Fractional CO2 Lasers to help reduce any type of scarring whether related to surgery or trauma.

Post Surgical Follow Up

Complimentary follow ups are included to all cosmetic surgery patients until they have fully healed.

The Pain Factor

Our highly experienced clinical team do their utmost to minimise any treatment associated pain or discomfort. Having fine motor skills and gentle pair of hands are important assets for any clinician.

Depending upon the type of of procedure being performed, we use high-strength topical numbing cream, inhalation (laughing) gas, local anaesthesia as well as skin cooling device to make the procedure as tolerable as possible.

As per new AHPRA & Australian Medical Board guidelines, all cosmetic surgery patients will require a referral from a GP to be able to have a cosmetic surgery consultation.

All cosmetic patients will require a psychological assessment to rule out body dysmorphia before undergoing any cosmetic surgery.

Risks & Complications

All cosmetic procedures carry potential risks, complications and treatment limitations. We advise all patients to seek independent medical advice from an appropriately qualified medical doctor before considering any cosmetic enhancement.

Why choose Medaesthetics for this procedure?

As mentioned above, the decision to undergo any cosmetic surgery is quite daunting for most people. It can be extremely difficult to find the right doctor who you can trust your face with. Most patients want to achieve natural-looking results when it comes to any cosmetic procedure. They don’t want anyone else to know that they have had surgery done. They want to choose a doctor who is able to listen to them carefully and understand their concerns. A doctor who’s surgical skills delivers effective and natural-looking results with minimal discomfort and downtime. A doctor who will make sure his patients are well looked after until they are fully healed and happy with their results.

Dr Ehsan Jadoon has successfully performed countless Mini Facelift surgery procedures in Perth and Sydney.

He is known to achieve natural-looking results with a very high patient satisfaction rate. His friendly and down-to-earth nature makes him extremely popular among his patients.

What’s the difference between Mini-facelift and Full Facelift?

Mini Facelift involves less extensive surgical manipulation of the facial tissue compared to the traditional Full Facelift.

In Mini Facelift, the surgical incision line remains in front of the ear. It does not extend behind the ear. During the procedure, branches of the Facial Artery and the Facial Nerve are not exposed. Hence there is less tissue trauma, less risk of injury to the facial neuro-vascular structures and quicker recovery.

Who is a good candidate for Mini-facelift?

Mini Facelift is best suited to a person who is contemplating a serious facial rejuvenation procedure with visibly significant and longer-lasting results.

The procedure is designed for patients who have started to notice facial sagging but want a procedure which delivers more noticeable and longer-lasting results than any non-surgical option (such as a Thread Lift or Liquid Facelift-using dermal fillers) may be able to achieve.

Patients opting for a Mini-facelift are concerned about facial sagging alone and are not ready for a more extensive Full Face Lift which targets both the face as well as the neck.

Dr Jadoon also offers a slightly more extensive variation of the Mini Facelift for patients who want some improvement in the loose neck skin as well.

What are S-Lift and MAC-Lift?

S-Lift and MAC-Lift surgeries are slight variations of the Mini-facelift procedure. Many cosmetic surgeons consider S-Lift and MAC-Lift just fancy names of Mini Facelift.

How is the procedure preformed?

At Medaesthetics, the procedure is routinely performed under local anaesthesia as a day procedure while the patient is awake. Hospitalization is not required. Patients are allowed to go home after the surgery.

How long does the procedure take?

On average, the procedure takes just under two hours from start to finish. Additional time is needed if another surgery (such as blepharoplasty) is being performed at the same time.

Am I going to be awake during the surgery?

We routinely perform this procedure under local anaesthesia while the patient is awake. We also offer this procedure under twilight sedation in an accredited Day Hospital in East Perth if the patient prefers to be asleep during the surgery (additional costs are associated with this option).

Is It painful?

We offer our patients the highest level of care and make every effort to ensure that any procedure we perform is associated with minimal pain or discomfort.

First, we apply a very strong topical anaesthetic cream to numb the facial skin. Once the skin is superficially numbed, we use very small needles (similar to wrinkle relaxer needles) to inject the local anaesthetic under the skin to completely anaesthetise the area.

Patients are pleasantly surprised when the procedure is completed without any pain.

What is the recovery from this surgery?

Initial recovery from Mini Facelift is about 10 days. Most patients are able to perform house chores and light physical activity after five days. Sutures are usually taken out on the tenth day after the surgery. Female patients can easily cover the incisions with their hair.

For patients who want complete discretion, we recommend taking two weeks off work.

Is there going to be a visible scar?

In most cases, the incision scars are barely noticeable and begin to fade quickly within a few weeks.

At Medaesthetics, we have the most extensive range of Fractional CO2 Lasers to help reduce any type of scarring whether related to surgery or trauma.

Patients may have some numbness in the treated area after the surgery. This will disappear with time.

How much time should I take off from work?

Most patients can return to office-based work within five to seven days. We recommend at least two weeks off work if your work involves heavy physical activity or travelling. A medical Certificate can be organised for work which will not mention the name of your procedure.

When can I start exercise?

Light activity is permitted after the first three days and light exercise is usually okay after two weeks.

What are the potential risks and complications of this surgery?

Like any surgical procedure, this procedure comes with possible risks and complications that include, but are not limited to:

Excess bleeding
Inadequate correction
Swelling and discomfort
Delayed healing and unfavourable Scarring
Nerve trauma and numbness
Temporary skin discolouration at the incision lines

What are the potential risks and complications of General Anaesthesia (GA) and Conscious Sedation (Twilight anaesthesia)?

All surgical procedures performed under General Anaesthesia or Twilight Sedation should only be performed in a hospital under the supervision of a qualified Anaesthetist. Potential risks associated with sedation are:

Respiratory Depression and Compromise
Cardiovascular Depression and Compromise
Increased Risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
Prolonged Nausea and Vomiting after the surgery
Prolonged Hangover
Short Term and Long Term Amnesia (memory loss) are some of the significant side effects.

What are the risks of local anesthesia?

At Medaesthetics, all procedures carried out under local anaesthesia are done using the minimal amount of local anaesthesia as per medical guidelines.

I have booked my surgery; how do I prepare for it?

Detailed Pre-surgical and Post-surgical instructions are provided to all our patient’s in a verbal and written format as well on our clinical videos channel on Youtube.

In summary, preparation for any surgical procedure involves:

Avoiding blood-thinning medication. Please make sure to discuss this with your GP in detail and be aware of any side effects of the medications you are currently on.
Herbal medication and nutritional supplements such as St John’s Wart, garlic, ginger, ginseng, homeopathic or herbal tonics, fish oil, green tea etc have to be stopped for at least 2 weeks before surgery. These substances are known for their potential to thin blood and may cause excessive bleeding during and after the surgery.
It is essential to avoid alcohol and cigarettes at least two weeks before and after your surgery to minimize the risk of surgical bleeding and delayed recovery.
We recommend that you do all your grocery shopping before surgery and refill your fridge and pantry with healthy food.
We also recommend that you organise for someone to give you a lift back home as driving is not recommended for the first few days after the surgery.
You also must consider organising a family member or friend to stay with you for the first two days after your surgery.

What can I do to reduce any complications associated with this surgery?

It is imperative that you follow the pre-surgical instructions given to you by our staff. Alcohol consumption and cigarette smoking are the two major culprits when it comes to increasing potential risks associated with any surgery. Please avoid these harmful agents for at least two weeks (preferably more) prior to your surgery.

Both alcohol and cigarettes interfere with the normal healing process, increase the pain and discomfort associated with any surgery, increase the risk of potential complications such as bleeding, wound infection and scarring and as a result prolong the recovery time.

What can I do to improve my recovery?

In clinical practice, we have found that a herbal substance called Arnica is helpful in reducing bleeding during or after the surgery. It also helps with healing and minimises bruising. Arnica is a naturally occurring herb and is available as an oral supplement from most health food stores and pharmacies in Australia.

Please read the pre-surgical and post-surgical instructions given to you thoroughly and try to abide by the instructions.

A healthy lifestyle, good sleep and a balanced nutritional diet after surgery are essential factors for optimum healing.

How long do the results of Mini Facelift last for?

Results of Mini Facelift usually last up to five years or more. However, In clinical practise, we find that some patient age more rapidly than others. This may be due to genetic predisposition and lifestyle factors. For such patients, we offer a small “tweak” surgery at a highly reduced cost as and when it’s needed.

What other procedures can be combined with this surgery?

Mini Facelift is often combined with other procedures such as:

Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Lift)
Facial Fat Grafting
Fraxel Laser Skin Rejuvenation
Dr Jadoon will be able to create a tailored-made treatment plan to suit your budget and clinical requirement at the time of your initial consultation.

What is a cooling-off period?

A “cooling off” period of two weeks is required after your initial consultation to give you enough time to thoroughly evaluate the risks and benefits of any elective cosmetic surgery before booking that procedure.

How much does it cost?

Pricing starts from $10,500 for a simple Mini-Facelift.
