Unsightly lumps
Unwanted swellings
Bluish discolouration of the skin (Tyndall effect)
Tissue ischemia

The injections are safe and highly effective when performed by an experienced Cosmetic doctor.

General Information

Commonly Treated Areas:

• Face (lumps & bumps)

Treatment Detail:

Hyaluronidase (Hylase) is an enzyme which works as an antidote for Carbohydrate based Dermal Fillers. The enzyme disintegrates the molecules of HA fillers and dissolves the filler gel immediately upon contact.

Hylase comes in a powder form and must be reconstituted with saline (water) before it can be injected. At MedAesthetics, we add a small amount of local anaesthetic to each Hylase vial to minimise any pain or discomfort associated with the treatment.

It is important to understand that most inexperienced cosmetic injectors do not know how to perform this treatment properly and effectively. The aim should be to just dissolve the unwanted lump or swelling of the filler; not the entire filler treatment itself.

The Pain Factor:

With each treatment, special attention is paid to minimise any treatment discomfort.

This is achieved by applying specially formulated, ultra-high strength numbing creams before any injecting takes place along with using Inhalation Anaesthesia Gas (Laughing Gas).

We also use ultra-fine micro needles, soft cannulas, and vibrational anaesthesia devices to further minimize treatment discomfort.

Increasing number of patients are seeing us these days to have their dermal fillers dissolved due to adverse outcomes. It is therefore, important to have all cosmetic treatments done at clinics with experienced medical staff who have a supervising medical doctor on site .

Important

Filler Dissolving Injections are highly effective but do have rare potential side-effects.  It is, therefore, vital that you choose your treatment provider based upon their experience and reputation and not just on marketing hype or discounted pricing.

How To Choose Your Treatment Provider

We understand that the decision to undergo a cosmetic treatment can be a significant one for some individuals. It is of utmost importance to choose a clinician who not only possesses the necessary clinical skills but also takes the time to listen to your concerns and understand your goals.

When considering a cosmetic treatment, it is recommended to thoroughly research potential providers to ensure that you are making an informed decision. It is crucial to not base your choice solely on cost, as the adage “you get what you pay for” often holds true in the medical field.

It is my belief that a successful cosmetic treatment should not only deliver effective results but should also be performed in a manner that is minimally discomforting with minimal downtime. When searching for a provider, keep these factors in mind to help you make an informed decision.
